Toe overshoes

I was given some lovely toe overshoes. These are great for chilly, damp spring days, just to take the edge off, when full overshoes would be too hot. These ones I was given had a Velcro strap under the foot. The strap did interfere with my SPD cleats a bit, but I could still clip in. Going up

On a weekend of cycling in Beer, we rode west to Salcombe along the coast down, Salcombe Hill to the foot of the Peak Hill. This climb was used in the 2006 UK Hill Climbing Championships won by James Dobbin. It was a very even gradient for the whole 1.5km, with 20% signs at the top and bottom. Tea and wee

A classic “tea and wee” pit stop. At the original Otter Nursery in Otter, one of the staff spotted us looking for somewhere to leave our bikes, and took us off to put them in a lockable storage shed. Which was nice. We then headed for the “restaurant” which had a huge cake selection. We all had one with cappuccino and sat in the window. It was pretty busy but not very atmospheric.
