Lynmouth Hill

On The Smuggler 2014, the route included two Smuggler Booty hill climbs, with gold coins given out at the top to be exchanged for KOM beer back at the ride HQ. To get into Lynmouth we first rode down Contisbury Hill along the Devon coast. Lynmouth Hill is only 0.3 miles but averages 17.5%and gains 296 feet. Going up

On a weekend of cycling in Beer, we rode west to Salcombe along the coast down, Salcombe Hill to the foot of the Peak Hill. This climb was used in the 2006 UK Hill Climbing Championships won by James Dobbin. It was a very even gradient for the whole 1.5km, with 20% signs at the top and bottom.
